Blowing Rock Fire & Rescue is a volunteer organization working in concert with the Town of Blowing Rock Department of Emergency Services, functioning as a single organization. Blowing Rock Fire & Rescue is a combination department with both career and volunteer firefighters. Our firefighters, EMTs, Paramedics and Rescue Technicians are responsible for responding to all types of emergencies within the Blowing Rock Fire District.
Fire Supression
Blowing Rock Fire and Rescue is responsible for fire protection with the Blowing Rock Fire Protection District in Watauga County and the North Caldwell Fire Protection District in Caldwell County.
Technical Rescue
Blowing Rock Fire and Rescue responds to all types rescue calls. Common calls for service include motor vehicle accidents and search and rescue of lost or injured hikers in the wilderness areas of our district.
